Secondly, what did you use to make the smaller planet, if I may ask? Seems 3D. If so I was wondering what program you used. I've been working in 3ds Max, but that, what appears to be, normal map looks great.
Either way, this is awesome. I wish I could do this well.
the big foreground planet looks kinda like a wall. like instead of coming towards you, like you are looking over it, it looks like a floating wall of planet texture. i would really try to warp that perspective, especially when its at such an extreme angle.
second, i like the concept of the planet in front of the blast, but right now it just looks like a black circle, like a mistake, instead of a planet.
but the middle planet is fucking sweet. perfect lighting, and the sharpness just makes it that much better.
and i like the blast, good use of colors, clean and simple execution. and the asteroids look great as well.
all in all, i really like this piece, well fucking done my friend.
