Beautiful. Simply beautiful.
Only one minor nit-picky issue (and I feel like an a** for saying this): meteors do not combust until they make contact with an atmosphere. Comets generate tails if ice that trail away from the core, and ion tails that point directly away from the star.
But I'm a nerd for saying this because the two meteoroids add to the sci-fi feel!
